Media Manager
Integral to the VMS is the media manager. This module is the heart of the application, and allows you to transfer your digital assets from your computer or camera onto the internet and ultimately in front of an audience. It also lets you categorise, file and edit metadata associated with your video so your content is searchable and retains its value.
Upload videos
The Stream UK VMS accepts most popular video/audio file formats including: WMV, MPG, MOV, FLV, AVI MP3, WAV, AIFF etc. Uploading your files can be via our simple upload tool, ftp or even email or mobile phone. Once you have uploaded your video the system can automatically transcode (convert) your file into one or more web formats, ready for high quality delivery over the internet.
Customisable metadata
The VMS allows you to directly attach useful information to your videos in the universal MRSS format. Without metadata your file is hard to find, but once it is properly indexed a whole world of searching, distribution and ordering possibilities is opened up. You will be able to create RSS feeds and websites directly from the metadata stored within the VMS.
Insert video into a webpage
Adding video to your own website couldn't be more simple. On ingest or upload, the application automatically generates the HTML code necessary to embed a player into your page, so all you need do is copy and paste! In addition to that, our framework provides customisable chunks of codes to give you even more control.
