StreamUK is proud to have made the shortlist for BEST WEBCAST (2010/11) at the Streaming Media Europe Awards this year.
The online streaming specialists became finalists after receiving a large number of votes for the 2010/11 series of live webcasts for Red Bull Bedroom Jam UK, a national project that gives unsigned bands and artists the chance to compete for a prize by playing a live bedroom gig to thousands online.
The shortlist that includes two other nominees is considered one of the great accolades of the streaming media industry, organised by the internationally renowned Streaming Media Europe.
StreamUK were proud to pick up an award in 2009 for their user generated content platform CrowdSourcer, a StreamUK product that is now used by clients such as the BBC and The Guardian.

RSA State of the Arts 2011
On Thursday 10th of February the Stream UK production team was webcasting from the RSA’s State of the Arts Conference as well as webcasting live the Cultural Question Time panel at 2.00pm which can now be viewed here: (http://stateofthearts.streamuk.com/). The second annual State of the Arts conference, organised by the RSA and Arts Council England, brought together a wide range of creative voices to debate issues around resilience, audience and the value of arts and culture.
Stream UK delivered full production at the event – which included 8 HD broadcast cameras, 5 camera operators, HD vision mixing equipment, Producer, HD live encoding units. All of the key note sessions from the conference will be available on the link above and talk about the issues surrounding the Arts industry as well as new forms of art and traditional formats.
The event was a total success, with the Twitter hash tag #StateOfTheArts trending at number one in the UK at by the end of the day and over 1000 viewers for the live Q+A session! Risky Business: The London World Economic Forum 2011
Earlier this month saw Stream UK perform a live webcast from the London World Economic Forum on Global Risk using Stream Connect, marking the latest in a series of ongoing collaborations with leading insurance broker and risk adviser Marsh Plc.
The forum was held as part of a drive to review and discuss the results and ramifications of the recently published Global Risk Report 2011. The report, which centres on the three main ‘risk clusters’: macroeconomic imbalances, the relationship between illicit activities and state fragility and issues surrounding the supply of basic resources, can be found on the World Economic Forum’s website.

Yesterday Stream UK streamed British hypnotist Chris Hughes live weight loss webcast for World Hypnotism Day. It was also the first webcast to help people lose weight.
The Socialtrance weight loss session consisted of a 15 minute online webcast hosted by Stream UK. The hypnosis audio download is available from ITunes and other leading online music providers.

Stream UK have been chosen as HomeServe’s Investor Relations webcasting provider. HomeServe is an international home emergency and repairs company which services c.5m households across the UK, Continental Europe and the USA. Its vision is to be the first place people turn to for home emergencies and repairs. HomeServe Plc is a member of the FTSE 250 index with a market capitalisation of £1.4bn.
Last week Stream UK delivered an audio webcast with synchronised slides and downloadable material using our flash based product Stream Connect for HomeServe plc. Stream Connect a software service tool allows companies to change the way they webcast, dramatically cutting cuts costs while still delivering a high quality webcast.
