Yahoo! and Stream UK

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

Over the last 6 months, Stream UK have worked closely with Yahoo! to deliver key internal messages worlwide. Using live filming mixed in with presentations and pre-prepared content, the end-to-end webcasts have served to allow staff in global offices the experience of being in front of the speakers.

Stream UK have provided productions services such as filming and vision mixing, as well as worlwide delivery of streaming both within and external to the company network.

Spot the bull!

Monday, July 21st, 2008

Stream UK successfully provided the live webcasting streams for Orange and Poke London’s Spot the Bull project. We had to build a thirty foot scaffold and film through rain so bad that there was a real danger that the bull would have to be taken away!

The site was hugely popular with advertising within msn messenger ensuring an average of over 1,000 concurrent connections and peaks far higher. This was our largest live Flash webcast to date and proved the resilliance of our extensive Wowza infrastructure.

Red Bull Bedroom Jam

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

Red Bull LogoAspiring bands will already know all about this, but since September 2007, Stream UK have been the video and webcast providers behind the Red Bull Bedroom Jam series.

This has been a once in a lifetime opportunity for new bands seeking their “big break” to upload videos of their gigs, have fans watch and rate them on the site, and then potentially get selected to play at a Red Bull Bedroom Jam session at a killer venue or event such as Camden Crawl (London), Liverpool Sound City and others.

See here for a recent interview with Red Bull UK MD, Nigel Trood, who talks about how popular and successful the platform has been — So much so that they recently moved from fortnightly to weekly jams.

Stream UK has been proud to not only host the content and the UGC system in conjunction with Xtaster, but we’ve also filmed the live gigs and manage all of the live streaming. After all, who doesn’t want to be a rock star, or at least hang out with them!? Check out the latest gig, Furthest Drive Home and all the others here.

London Stock Exchange Partnership

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

Stream UK and the London Stock Exchange have formed a unique partnership to add webcasting to the range of services offered at the LSE Media Centre .

This partnership is representative of the increasing number of successful co-operations between Stream UK and high-quality conference and broadcast venues.

Stream UK offers the service as a fully managed extension to the traditional set of products and services, with a generous revenue share included.

The Stream Connect product allows venues to manage the service themselves if preferred.

Royal Society Webcasts David Attenborough

Friday, May 27th, 2005

Way back in 2002, when Stream UK was but young, we did a big webcast for the Royal Society.

It was David Attenborough, talking about how to film and boy did we make sure we got it right…two can loads of kit and over 7,000 viewers resulted in something we’re still prepared to use as a case study today.
