Download Festival

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

On Saturday the 13th of June 2009 Stream UK’s team of experienced webcasting professionals filmed LIVE from a bedroom in Gravesend which was then streamed live via satellite link to 50,000 Rockers viewing the live stream on big screens at the Download Festival in Nottingham.

For any unsigned metal or rock band, the thought of playing the main stage on Saturday night at Download in front of thousands of people is a distant dream. For one band, that dream became a reality.

Red Bull Bedroom Jam have been running a very special competition where one lucky band would get the chance to play live at Download 2009. The winning band was selected from hundreds of uploaded videos from unsigned under 18 year old musicians.

However instead of actually turning up in Nottingham, the band would play live from their…bedroom, streamed up to space and downloaded at the Download festival.

Production included multi camera shoot, video editing and live vision mixing with video inserts and full project management of the production and satellite feeds.

Bacardi La Fiesta

Monday, September 15th, 2008

On 4th September Stream UK joined up with leading media agency Graphico to deliver one of the first live webcasts using Microsoft’s new Silverlight technology.

Bacardi La Fiesta

The Bacardi La Fiesta party at London nightclub SEone brought together leading dance artists such as Groove Armada and DJ Yoda to throw a free Cuban-themed party to promote the brand. Stream UK filmed, mixed, and delivered the event to Bacardi’s own site, and to thousands more via MySpace.

To make the event more unique and interactive, viewers were able to choose from multiple camera views. See   http://www.bacardi.com/lafiesta/ for the on-demand experience.

Vodcast of The Spectator 180th Anniversary Party

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

Always looking for more chances to rub elbows, Stream UK is proud to enable, stream, and host The Spectator’s 180th Anniversary Party last night which was held at the Hyatt Regency Churchill hotel in Portman Square. Whilst we didn’t necessarily get to kiss-kiss with guests Joan Collins, Boris Johnson, or even Anne Robinson, it’s nice to think that we were just that close…

This partnership is representative of the increasing number of successful co-operations between Stream UK and high-quality conference and broadcast venues.

Stream UK offers the service as a fully managed extension to the traditional set of products and services, with a generous revenue share included.

The Stream Connect product allows venues to manage the service themselves if preferred.

Royal Society Webcasts David Attenborough

Friday, May 27th, 2005

Way back in 2002, when Stream UK was but young, we did a big webcast for the Royal Society.

It was David Attenborough, talking about how to film and boy did we make sure we got it right…two can loads of kit and over 7,000 viewers resulted in something we’re still prepared to use as a case study today.
