Last night at Union Chapel Stream UK did the satellite, vision mixing, encoding and engineering for the Everything Everything gig which was broadcast live to the web, and also via an iPhone and iPad App!
The whole show was broadcast live in HD to Apple iPad and iPhone users via a free artist-branded app entitled ‘Man Alive – Everything Everything: Live at Union Chapel’.
Everything Everything singerJonathan Higgs said of the broadcast: “We wanted to try something unique. The concert sold out and we wanted to do something special for fans who couldn’t get tickets. We couldn’t hijack a TV channel but now we can play live to people on the bus, or wherever they want to hear it.”
The band played alongside a 13-piece orchestra at the show.
Today at 6.30pm Stream UK will be encoding a live feed for the webcast of Sarah Phillips’ Single Launch. Sarah Phillips’ ‘Say it’s Possible’ music single is being launched to raise money for cervical cancer research.
The single aims to raise funds for Debbie Fund, a charity set up in memory of Sarah’s mum Debbie, who died of Cervical Cancer on 11th February 2010.
During the progression of Debbie’s disease, it became apparent that there was no dedicated research into a drug treatment specifically for Cervical Cancer, and so, of the numerous friends whom Debbie had, a group of us have come together with her family to raise sufficient funds to ensure that the necessary research can be carried out by a team of scientists at University College London.
So far, Debbie Fund has raised just under £460,000 in the form of cash received and pledges.
Sarah hopes to raise even more through her EP Say it’s Possible.
