View ‘Silence in the Square 2010′ online on Armistice Day

At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month the Two Minute Silence is observed on Armistice Day, the day which marks the end of the First World War.

The Royal British Legion hosts “Silence in the Square” events to give the public an opportunity to participate in the Two Minute Silence and this year if you are unable to attend the live events, you can view a live webcast from the comfort of your own home or office. Just sign up at www.britishlegion.org.uk/sits prior to 11 November and then login to view the webcast from approximately 10am on the day.

Stream UK have created the registration page and bespoke webcast page and will be ingesting the satellite feed on the day.

So join the public in Trafalgar Square in London and Castle Square in Swansea on Thursday 11 November for a moment of silence.

The event in London’s Trafalgar Square will involve a host of special guests to help honour our fallen Service people and to remember those serving today. This annual event will again be hosted by television presenter Ben Shephard, with music from The Saturdays, Blake and The London Gospel Choir, and readings by Keeley Hawes and Ben Barnes.
A bugler will be performing the Last Post and Reveille in both locations to mark the start and end of the Two Minute Silence.

Don’t forget, Frank Zappa tribute live this weekend

Using a Stream UK player and delivered on the Level 3 network, the Roundhouse will be broadcasting online this weekend its celebration one of the 20th century’s most remarkable musicians and composers.

Frank Zappa at the Roundhouse features a kaleidoscopic exploration of his music and influences. Performances by Dweezil Zappa, members of Frank’s touring and recording bands, the UK’s best contemporary classical ensembles and an appearance by Gail Zappa are accompanied by talks, films and exhibitions.

The Media Arts Festival, in partnership with Arts Council England and the UK Film Council, offered cutting edge content fusing the digital agendas of the arts – film, media and technology. The festival was conceived to provide an environment in which media and arts professionals can meet, share and discuss new opportunities created a rapidly evolving digital media landscape. As a partner of the Roundhouse, Stream UK was bought in to deliver the keynotes and panel sessions live on the internet.

Redbull Bedroom Jam and Stream UK

Stream UK are the video and webcast providers behind the Red Bull Bedroom Jam series.

Redbull Bedroom Jam is a once in a lifetime opportunity for new bands seeking their “big break”. Bands upload videos of their gigs, have fans watch and rate them on the site, and then potentially get selected to play at a Red Bull Bedroom Jam session. The Redbull Bedroom Jam begins today and runs for 10 weeks.

Stream UK is proud to not only host the content on our VMS system in conjunction with Xtaster, but we also film the live gigs and manage all of the live streaming.

In February this year Stream Uk teamed up with www.Buzzluck.com to deliver the world’s first online casino “Live Lounge”. Buzzluck is the first online super casion to provide on-site live entertainment above and beyond everyone’s favourite casino games.
