Having left the den, ex-‘Dragon’ Doug Richard and his School for Startups have proved to be the leading provider of business training for fledgling and established entrepreneurs in the UK. September saw the final session of the ‘Fast Growth Marketing for Growing Businesses’ workshop webcast live hundreds of entrepreneurs around the world and today S4Stv will be webcasting ‘Find, Pitch & Close – The Art of Securing Investment’ Click here to sign up to view the event.
Using Stream UK’s production team to film, mix and encode the footage – the session was delivered with the new release of Stream Connect, Stream UK’s webcasting tool. Stream Connect has been reviewed as “a simplified yet powerful interactive streaming platform that could be managed by the presenter” (Tim Siglin, Streaming Media Magazine) and as it continues to develop, the tool is allowing companies to provide professional level webcast experiences without relying on outside experts.
A key part of the S4S sessions is the ability of the live audience to interact with experts, asking questions and offering feedback. Stream Connect’s interactive options allow this to be extended to web-viewers worldwide. There was constant activity in the online chat room, and future events could use the voting and moderator announcements. Over the next year, Stream UK will continue to deliver production services, encoding, hosting and streaming services, as the School grows its online presence.
