Stream UK helps with Haiti earthquake victims
Thursday, January 21st, 2010
Caritas, in Spain, will be holding a charity concert this Friday at 21:00 (GMT + 1) in order to raise funds for those affected by the Haiti disaster. The concert, organised by the Diocesan Church of Malaga, will be broadcasted live through Stream UK’s CDN and hosted on the Caritas website (http://www.caritasmalaga.es).
The Caritas network in Haiti has launched an emergency response following the earthquake in Haiti on the 12th January. The earthquake shook the Haitian capital destroying hundreds of buildings. The response of the Caritas network has been to support the victims of the disaster by providing temporary shelters, distributing food and hygiene kits and spiritual support. In a second phase the reconstruction of infrastructure is envisaged.
Since the devastating earthquake occurred in Haiti Stream UK and a number of its employees have found ways to support the country and its survivors and we would like to encourage others to do so too.
