Stream UK releases Video Management System for LANs

Maintaining the company’s position at the forefront of online management and distribution Stream UK has developed an internal video management system for Kinghurst CTC Kingshurst Academy. The internal VMS is supplied on an installable disk and designed to run internally from a single server on their intranet.

 

Similar to Stream UK’s VMS 2.1 the user is able to tag videos, mark them as favourites and recommend them to a friend. Also, when the user views a video they are able to see related videos driven by tags.

Stream UK and Digitas have once again collaborated to deliver the latest Shell Energy Debate on 15 July 2009. Stream UK will provide a moderated messaging platform in which the discussions on ‘Can technology reduce CO2 emissions?’will  take place. The webchat was a lively and informative discussion between speakers and viewers at the last energy debate regarding biofuels more than 680 people attended the morning and afternoon sessions.

Stream UK turns 8

Camden based Stream UK Media Services celebrated its 8th year in business early this year. Stream UK, a small privately owned digital media company was foundered by two friends, Duncan Burbidge and Joe Bray in April 2001 and has since grown to be the UK’s largest independent streaming media B2B business.

 

Stream UK’s main office is located on the lock in Camden Town and has 30 London based staff.  Stream UK also has an office in Madrid and joint venture in Wales .

 

Stream UK has employed staff from around the UK, Europe, Middle East and South Pacific and the staff are fluent in numerous langages which has assisted in Stream UK expanding its services throughout UK and Europe.

Stream UK on Streaming Media Advisory Board

Duncan Burbidge, CEO of Stream UK has accepted an invitation to sit on the newly formed Streaming Media Europe’s Advisory Board. The Advisory Board consists of a group of experts in the business of online video and audio and Eric Schumacher-Rasmussen Editor of Streaming Media Magazine will be the Streaming Media Europe’s Conference Chair.

The Board is to advise on developments in the international streaming media arena and have an impact on the themes, content and direction of streamingmediaglobal.com, Streaming Media Europe Conference and Streaming Media Magazine Europe.
