The Stream UK Content Delivery Network (CDN)


Stream UK operates a three-tiered network of networks that guarantees global delivery on a 99.97% 'double-your-money' SLA - this requires a reliable CDN with massive scalability and performance.

The network includes an independently-owned layer with strategically distributed delivery centres: 3 UK POPs, 1 US POP, 3 EU POPs and membership of the key London internet exchange, LINX. Connection to Tier1 internet providers are contracted at 2Gbits per second with the ability to burst to 15Gbits per second at short notice.

Our core POP which provides the management interface and www hosting for clients is engineered to have no single point of failure.

What differentiates Stream UK is a network optimised for video, the CDN is capable of delivering large video files to the largest audiences using a wide range of IP-enabled devices.

The CMS

The Content Management System (CMS) sits in front of the CDN to give easy access to its functionality.

For example, if you upload a file using the integrated upload tool, the CMS will ensure that your file is replicated globally across the CDN - without you having to do a thing.
