We needed a system that could handle huge volumes and intelligently filter content, whilst respecting editorial control. Media Hub was just what we needed and has gone on to become the hub of our multimedia operation.
OverviewThe BBC has been using the Media Hubproduct since 2007 when the News service sought an alternative to over-crowded inboxes. Since that time the platform has grown to fill the need and is now used for not only user-generated content but also the syndication and repackaging of content for over 200 global partners. The sytem is used by BBC News, 15 of the BBC World Service language services, BBC World and BBC Springwatch. |

Verification of contentThere is a system of seven checks in place which the team has been trained to use appropriately. In addition, the intelligent search feature allows content to be ordered according to a configurable, 20-variable search system. That means you really can find the proverbial needle. |
