On 15 September 2009 Lexus held a press conference at the Frankfurt International Motor Show to unveil its new groundbreaking LF-Ch full hybrid premium company concept car. This car heralds a new dawn for Lexus as its younger, bolder and more dynamic than any other Lexus car before.
Two members of the Stream UK team were in Frankfurt at the event to encode the press conference and stream it live using the Stream UK content delivery network (CDN). This was another example of Stream UK’s ability to perform on an international job in short time frame. Stream UK’s team setup, managed and oversaw the live streaming of the event while keeping to a specified budget.
The press conference gained worldwide attention receiving over 650 connections from 26 countries worldwide. An on-demand version of the press conference is available HERE

Over the past few weeks Stream UK has been conducting a Customer Satisfaction Survey as part of our Gold partnership with Microsoft.
The survey allows us to understand and act on customer satisfaction and loyalty information and remain competitive in our industry. In this quarter’s survey we also added custom questions to gather feedback on our core products.
27 of our clients participated in the survey and we were pleased with our results. Feedback included: “I can’t think how they can improve their services. Stream UK currently has a white paper published on the Association of Online Publishers (AOP) website. The article ‘Stream UK’s Guide to Quality Online Video’ assesses suitable source formats for online video, the relative optimum quality you can expect from various sources, advice on chooseing a codec (Flash, Windows Media etc) and their relative market penetration.
Also covered with the article is encoding to the right format, as defined by user connection speed, and types of video content.

This month Stream UK Media Services has been nominated for six Streaming Media European – Readers Choice Awards. Stream UK and their products have been nominated in the following categories: Delivery Netowrk, Online Video Platform, Streaming Services Provider, Transcoding Solution, UGC Platform and Webcast Platform. Readers and customers may vote for as many categories as they wish and it only takes a few moments.
The winners will be announced in London on 15 October and awards will be presented at a gala reception at the Streaming Media Europe Show.
