Have a break, have a KitKat with Stream UK

Friday, September 24th, 2010

During the month of September KitKat in conjunction with Rock Feedback organized a series of pop-up break time gigs throughout the UK. The free one off gigs were to encourage people to make the most of their breaks, playing on the famous KitKat branding ‘have a break, have a KitKat’.

Those that couldn’t make the event didn’t miss out on the action, the gigs were filmed and Stream UK performed the live vision mixing for the gigs.

The stream was then encoded to allow the broadcasting of the 30minute sets live on Myspace.

If you missed the gigs; Scouting for Girls in London, 2nd September; Hadouken! in Brighton, 10th September; Hoosier in York (home of the Kitkat), 16th September and the Mystery Jets in Manchester, 23rd September edited highlights are available here

Did you see us on MySpace?

Over the weekend Camden’s iconic Roundhouse played host to three days of theatrical high jinks, dance, cabaret and a whole heap of musical mischief when over 300 artists, hand-picked by a creative team of enviably on-the-pulse under 25’s, descended on the legendary venue for this year’s Turning Point Festival. Big names included Ms Dynamite, Roll Deep, Rob Da Bank, Toddla T and Professor Green.

With everything from spoken word performances to downright dirty grime and Dubstep you can bet your vintage winkle-pickers and plexi-glass specs that there was something to entertain you – even if you haven’t yet managed to claw your way into the insouciantly glittering ranks of the cooler than thou Camden crowd.

Those that missed out on tickets could, catch all of the action all weekend on My Space website courtesy of a very snazzy Stream UK live stream which over received over 10,000 hits.

Also, why not have a gander at some of our previous Roundhouse collaborations hosted in the ‘what was on’ on-demand library.
