Stream UK and Buzzluck

In February this year Stream Uk teamed up with www.Buzzluck.com to deliver the world’s first online casino “Live Lounge”. Buzzluck is the first online super casion to provide on-site live entertainment above and beyond everyone’s favourite casino games.

Buzzluck’s Live Lounge is streamed to user using Stream UK’s content delivery network (CDN) and all on demand services use Stream UK’s video management system (VMS 2.1).

Stream UK nominated for 6 Streaming Media Europe Awards

This month Stream UK Media Services has been nominated for six Streaming Media European – Readers Choice Awards. Stream UK and their products have been nominated in the following categories: Delivery Netowrk, Online Video Platform, Streaming Services Provider, Transcoding Solution, UGC Platform and Webcast Platform. Readers and customers may vote for as many categories as they wish and it only takes a few moments.

The winners will be announced in London on 15 October and awards will be presented at a gala reception at the Streaming Media Europe Show.

Stream UK and Central Office of Information (COI) Webcast

Stream UK was chosen to webcast the government launch of the green paper on the reform of adult care and support, otherwise known as the ‘Big Care Debate’, in England last week. Stream UK filmed, encoded and engineered live switching to BBC Parliament TV during the webcast and the paper was later discussed at the House of Commons.

 

People from all over the world tuned in for the webcast which received 835 hits including 10 from South Africa, 9 from Germany, 3 from the United States and 1 from Malta.

 

COI work with government departments and the public sector to produce information campaigns on issues that affect the lives of every citizen – from health and education to benefits, rights and welfare.

 

 

Stream UK releases Video Management System for LANs

Maintaining the company’s position at the forefront of online management and distribution Stream UK has developed an internal video management system for Kinghurst CTC Kingshurst Academy. The internal VMS is supplied on an installable disk and designed to run internally from a single server on their intranet.

 

Similar to Stream UK’s VMS 2.1 the user is able to tag videos, mark them as favourites and recommend them to a friend. Also, when the user views a video they are able to see related videos driven by tags.
