In October 2008, using Stream UK technology, Vuyou, the world’s first free web based video email service was launched.
Stream UK developed the recording and streaming technology behind the Vuyou website which allows high quality video emails to be sent instantly, no uploading required. Similar to a normal email account, the VuYou video email account gives you a fully functioning system with a “Inbox”, sent items folder, and drafts folder.
The technology developed by Stream UK allows VuYou users to record live to the server, for that reason you do not need to wait for uploading. When you have finished recording you simply add the recipients email address and send. The system also allows you to upload pre-recorded videos from your PC to send as a video email or to your blog, the choice is yours. The website also allows you to add video content to your own website, create a video, blog and run pod casts, all FREE of charge using the latest video streaming techniques.
