Webcasting for product launches

Stream UK have recently worked with Burson Marsteller to broadcast two of major electronic product launches to a global audience of journalist.

First was the July ‘Reveals’ webcasts, releasing information about Sony’s phone and music accessories. More recently, we delivered the launch of the Xperia X1 phone, and its associated animated campaign of Jonny X - 9 online ‘webisodes’ of an alternative thriller.

For both events, Stream UK were responsible for the filming, mixing, and broadcasting. The content was  delivered within branded microsites built by our in-house development team, which allowed the global audience to get involved with an interactive Q&A session

Shell Dialogues

ShellStream UK and Digitas have been working together to deliver a series of Shell Dialogues where experts present various subjects and viewers can participate in a Q & A session.

The viewers log on to the event page where they view the presentation and access a chat tool, which sends their messages to a moderator before forwarding them to an expert panel. The Q & A sessions run for an hour and transcripts are available post-event. The series is proving to be so successful presentations are now being held twice.

Yahoo! and Stream UK

Over the last 6 months, Stream UK have worked closely with Yahoo! to deliver key internal messages worlwide. Using live filming mixed in with presentations and pre-prepared content, the end-to-end webcasts have served to allow staff in global offices the experience of being in front of the speakers.

Stream UK have provided productions services such as filming and vision mixing, as well as worlwide delivery of streaming both within and external to the company network.

Bacardi La Fiesta

On 4th September Stream UK joined up with leading media agency Graphico to deliver one of the first live webcasts using Microsoft’s new Silverlight technology.

The Bacardi La Fiesta party at London nightclub SEone brought together leading dance artists such as Groove Armada and DJ Yoda to throw a free Cuban-themed party to promote the brand. Stream UK filmed, mixed, and delivered the event to Bacardi’s own site, and to thousands more via MySpace.  

 

To make the event more unique and interactive, viewers were able to choose from multiple camera views. See   http://www.bacardi.com/lafiesta/ for the on-demand experience.

 

2008 Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Awards – Stream UK
